"Anastasia has been a godsend. Prior to hiring her, my husband Shawn and I had been handling everything ourselves due to COVID. Then Shawn was hospitalized, and I needed to be at the hospital, so the search for a respite/habilitation/attendant care provider began. The day Anastasia came for her interview we moved Shawn to Mayo and I wasn’t able to attend. Nana and our daughter Josie handled everything. Josie loved her from the beginning. Her kindness has no bounds. Anastasia hadn’t been with us very long when Shawn passed leaving Josie and I in shock. Anastasia somehow knew how to do all the right things to help us stay afloat and has become a member of our family. Her gentle encouraging nature has helped Josie cope with the loss of her father and best friend, it has helped her as she learns to self-regulate her emotions. Anastasia has helped Josie not just learn new skills but helped build her self-esteem. She always knows the right things to say as she assists Josie recover from anxiety and panic attacks and knows how to intervene often to prevent the onset of these attacks. We often refer to her as Mary Poppins because of the joy she brings. Anastasia often carries a large bag and there is no telling what might emerge, cookies, a roasted cauliflower, a fidget, chocolate. It brightens our day. Anastasia is one of the most giving people I know. We are forever grateful for her presence in our life. Love Josie and Elizabeth."
